Our venues for 2019 were the Barnfield Theatre and the Exeter Phoenix. You can find out a bit more about them below.
We were also pleased to work with Exeter Northcott Theatre on some of the events at the festival, and other organisations around the city were involved too.
The Barnfield Theatre
Exeter Barnfield Theatre is a purpose-built theatre located in the heart of Exeter’s city centre. The building itself dates from 1890, when it was the home of the Exeter Literary Society, and has been variously occupied by the GPO, Civil Defence, the Tax Office and the Exeter Little Theatre Company.
Now completely independent and run by a charity, they have a small but dedicated team of staff and volunteers who maintain the building, man the box office desk and work hard to make your visit to the Barnfield Theatre the most welcoming, friendly and entertaining experience it can be.

Bang in the heart of the city centre, Exeter Phoenix is a vibrant, world-class multi-artform venue. They are home to several art galleries, a theatre, gig spaces, art studios, dance studios, a cinema, film production resources and more, all centred around a buzzing Café Bar. Each year we host hundreds of events and artistic activity spanning contemporary art, live music, DJs, cinema, theatre, dance, comedy, talks, creative courses, family events and everything in between.
